A FAME Scholar is an African-American student who meets our St. Edmund’s Academy Eligibility Criteria or a student who has successfully completed our FAME Academy Program. Students who fall into these two categories are named FAME Scholars and receive need-based scholarship funds and/or additional enrichment support while attending our partner independent schools – The Ellis School, The Kiski School, The Neighborhood Academy, Sewickley Academy, Shady Side Academy, St. Edmund’s Academy, and Winchester Thurston School or select affiliated schools.
Our Scholars excel not only academically, but through many enrichment opportunities, community service hours and internships provided by FAME. Ultimately, the end goal of the FAME Scholar Journey is College and Career Readiness made possible by the 360-degree financial and enrichment support along the way.
Our Scholars excel not only academically, but through many enrichment opportunities, community service hours, and internships.
Oh, the Places You'll Go ...destination...College and Life Sustaining Career!
FAME Scholars receive 360-degree support throughout each calendar year. Beyond the financial need-based scholarship provided, FAME Scholars receive enrichment support in the form of a Scholar Program Curriculum aimed at addressing the current academic, social, and emotional needs of this population. In addition, the FAME Scholar Program Curriculum is designed to increase the likelihood that all FAME Scholars continue their academic journeys at 4-year colleges and universities. FAME also offers a limited number of enrichment opportunities for students who are not a part of the FAME program and the larger community.
